Description

This is a Hecula from an exceptionnal vintage, it is worked with every ounce of expertise and has a fine and smooth structure and depth. This wine is at the level of a French grand cru. This wine has true seductive Spanish charm. Just imagine, the best of Spain in your glass what more is there to say?

Eye - This is a red wine of a beautiful intensity, it is almost of a midnight blue and has a violet degrade. This wine has kept its first colour. The wine is not only marked by a lot of freshness but it has a lovely concentration too. This is a bright and opaque coloured wine, it inspires freshness.
Nose - At the nose the finesse of the wine and the seductive notes of age are revealed. We find the notes of coffee, toast, pepper, white tobacco and liquorice. A wine that is nothing but fresh! Next arrive the ripe, black fruits, blackcurrants, mulberries, liquorice and mint, which bring a relief to the blend. This wine has a very good depth.
Palate - At the mouth the attack is velvety and smooth with the flavours of fruit and liquorice. Then the wine opens out with an acidic and tannic structure. There are woody notes that give this wine a good longevity. The generosity of this wine is balanced with the freshness. This is a young wine that will gain further in fullness and complexity in time.

This wine will be delicious with red meats, beef, lamb, duck, liver, lamb hot pot, pork with apple sauce and creamy strong cheeses. This wine will peak between 2010-2012, decant two hours before enjoying! This can be saved until 2018.
